So the day I first saw a pair of Vibram Fivefingers in the back of Outdoor Life, will always be remembered. I was enamored at first sight. Could it be? That others treasured the feeling of earth beneath their feet as I did? But it was winter! If you are unfamiliar with a Montana winter, I can summarize it for you in three words: beautiful, cold and snowy. When I first saw FiveFingers, I simply couldn't wait until spring to run barefoot! I was at the point of despair when I caught sight of the Surge FiveFingers and immediately perked up. To make a long story short, I found some five fingered wool socks... "Hallelujah!” So began an epic winter odyssey!! I've been running through snow drifts ever since I continue to test myself and my Surge FiveFingers under increasingly grueling conditions and they haven't let me down yet. Thank you, Vibram and everyone who went into making these amazing 'shoes’.
